Melli said... WHY isn't she guarding those two precious eggs??? For that
matter... why isn't she SITTIN' on 'em?

Response: She is guarding them, she and Kaver guard the nest nearly round the clock. She won't sit on them until she lays the next to last
one. This way all the eyasses are born about the same time. The eggs will remain viable if they don't get to cold. When the temperature starts to dip, Mariah or Kaver will sit on them, as they did last night.

So this morning I get your email and I rush over to the falcon cam to check out this darling 2nd egg, and what do I find? Two eggs. All alone in the world. Without a mama or a papa.... WHERE is she? WHY isn't she guarding those two precious eggs??? For that matter... why isn't she SITTIN' on 'em? WHAT does she think she's doing? Does Mariah need lessons in how to be a bird?
